Michael brings over 35 years of experience in the construction and management of infrastructure projects to Curry Project Management. His expertise spans both private and public sectors, with roles ranging from commercial and technical to business and project management. Michael began his career as a construction engineer and manager, honing his skills in building and leading project teams. As his responsibilities grew, he recognised the critical importance of value creation during the market phase of projects. Transitioning to a consultancy role, Michael founded CGI Consulting, where he focused on guiding clients through the procurement and delivery of complex infrastructure projects. His notable achievements include his involvement in the Queensland government's flood recovery efforts, where he served on a program board responsible for delivering $A1.3 billion of road reconstruction across the state. More recently, Michael established CPM to specialise in providing targeted project management services to local governments in regional communities. His deep understanding of local government operations, coupled with his experience in leadership and management roles within council structures, allows him to offer a unique perspective and tailored approach to project delivery. Michael's approach to project management is centred on a risk-based framework, with a strong emphasis on delivering the operational plan. By providing a comprehensive service that seamlessly integrates with clients' existing business processes, Michael aims to set CPM apart from traditional consulting firms.

As a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), Oscar’s expertise encompasses a diverse range of sectors, including oil and gas, mining, energy, structural design, transportation, and water infrastructure. Throughout his career, Oscar has set his skills in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion. His capabilities extend to cost estimation, risk management, design coordination, procurement, construction management, and compliance with authorities' requirements. As a results-driven professional, Oscar is committed to delivering projects that meet or exceed client expectations. His thorough approach to project delivery and reporting fosters strong relationships with stakeholders, including councils, regulatory authorities, and funding agencies. George is an experienced construction professional with over two decades of experience in the civil infrastructure industry. He has a proven track record in leading teams as a construction manager, project manager, and inspector. George possesses a deep understanding of contracts and specifications commonly used in DRFA-funded projects across New South Wales and Queensland. His expertise in this area is invaluable for ensuring project compliance and successful delivery. Currently, George is playing a key role in CPM's delivery team as the construction manager and superintendent's representative on DRFA road reconstruction projects in Southern New South Wales. His leadership and technical expertise are instrumental in overseeing the project's execution. George's primary strengths lie in his meticulous attention to detail, firm commitment to quality assurance, and exceptional contract management skills. He is adept at ensuring that projects adhere to the highest standards of methodology and specification compliance, while effectively negotiating and managing contractual obligations. In addition to his construction management responsibilities, George brings extensive experience in quality control, quality assurance, and technical specifications for both local government and state road projects. Born and raised in India, Praveen moved to Australia in 2016. He has a strong background in Civil Engineering through a postgraduate degree from the University of South Australia (UNISA). Praveen enjoyed the industry-linked and research-oriented study experiences at UNISA, where he practised his design and teamwork skills on a real-world practical construction design project. At CurryPM, Praveen’s role mainly involves monitoring construction costs and monitoring quality assurance conformance of construction projects.

Juan Carrasco

Juan is a skilled project engineer with over a decade of experience in delivering major civil infrastructure projects. His passion for achieving exceptional project outcomes drives his commitment to implementing effective project management strategies. One of Juan's key strengths lies in his ability to develop robust project controls that enable accurate tracking and management of critical project metrics. To enhance project efficiency and reporting, Juan played a pivotal role in developing CPM's project management software solution, which seamlessly integrates with traditional council management systems. Throughout his career, Juan has played a key role in managing the development of infrastructure projects, ensuring that they adhere to design and technical specifications while meeting strict timelines and budget constraints. As the manager of the project office for DRFA-funded projects in both Queensland and New South Wales, Juan has leveraged his extensive knowledge of DRFA projects to effectively plan and deliver flood damage reconstruction initiatives. His responsibilities have included coordinating with relevant government agencies, developing comprehensive project plans, managing project teams, providing regular updates and reports, monitoring project risks, managing project finances, and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.

Alan Pilsworth

Alan has nearly 40 years of experience in project management, specialising in Civil Engineering, Road Construction, Mining, and Road Maintenance, Asphalt and Bitumen Sealing both here in Australia and overseas. He also has extensive experience in the selection, managing and coordination of subcontractors. Highly developed managerial and leadership skills to enhance and nurture performance in a team environment with a firm focus on Workplace Health and Safety. Over the past 15 years, he has worked in the Northern Territory for Downer EDI (formerly CSR Emoleum) in various senior roles in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, and Queensland, including for Asphalt Co Australia before joining Leighton Contractors as a Project Manager and moving to West Australia as part of the bid team for ISA Contracts.

Pere is a versatile Project Manager, Engineer, and licensed Plumber and Drainer with over 15 years of experience in the Australian construction industry. Specialising in the delivery of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, Pere combines technical expertise with strong project management skills to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality project outcomes. His hands-on approach excels at coordinating multidisciplinary teams, optimising resources, and maintaining stringent safety and regulatory standards. Having managed several projects ranging from small-scale residential developments to large commercial and government infrastructure works, Pere has consistently delivered projects on time and within budget. His experience includes overseeing all phases of construction, from initial planning and design to execution, inspection, and final handover. As a qualified engineer and plumber, Pere brings a unique understanding of both the design and practical implementation aspects of construction, enhancing collaboration and communication across all project stakeholders. As a key member of the CPM team, Pere has played a pivotal role in developing the technical assessment framework for Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) submissions in North Queensland and Southern New South Wales. His expertise has been instrumental in ensuring that all projects meet the stringent funding requirements. Pere has overseen the preparation and validation of critical technical documentation, damage assessments, and cost estimates, maximizing funding opportunities. As Project Manager for the delivery phase, he has successfully managed the variation process, adeptly navigating changes in scope, unforeseen challenges, and negotiating with stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and maintain project alignment with funding requirements.

Through his strategic leadership approach and solid commitment to quality, John consistently exceeds client expectations while adhering to Australian standards and sustainability practices. John has a comprehensive understanding of project surveillance, including both operational and risk management aspects. He is able to effectively plan and implement surveillance programs while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure that contractors can progress smoothly and efficiently. John has successfully managed several significant projects, including demolishing and constructing a dual-lane, single-span reinforced concrete bridge, supervising multi-million DRFA roadworks, landslip stabilisation, and road development projects. He has successfully managed complex stakeholder relationships and navigated regulatory requirements throughout his career. Lina is a detail-oriented and results-driven contracts manager with a strong legal background. As the Contract Administrator at CPM, Lina is responsible for developing comprehensive tender and contract documentation. She also plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of internal quality control for contract administration processes across all CPM projects. Prior to joining CPM, Lina gained valuable experience in the copper mining industry in Chile, where she commercialised and coordinated import-export logistics. She also worked as a graduate lawyer in Rosario, Argentina, where she assisted with documentation development. Lina's combination of legal knowledge, contract administration expertise, and attention to detail enables her to efficiently handle complex and confidential assignments. Her ability to deliver high-quality results and maintain positive business relationships is a testament to her professionalism and dedication.
